Family Pictures

Brenton needed to have a family picture for school so we had Papa bring his camera over last Sunday after church. We really needed to have them done, I think the last time we did it, Brenton was 6 months old! Here are some of our favorites! Feel free to comment and tell me how beautiful my kids are!!!

Birthdays Galore!

We have been celebrating a lot of birthdays this month, and we still have 3 to go! We will be celebrating Papa and Uncle John's birthday this week, but Papa's official day was the 21st. That day we baked Papa a cake and he took us all to dinner. The kids and Papa had fun soaking in Papa and Yaya's new hot tub! Here Brenton is the "strong man" at the Schweigert boys' birthday party. Tanner's buddy Dane turned three and his twin brothers, Drew and Ian turned one. It was a great party. They went all out for the party. Jen (the mom) said she really wanted to celebrate after the busy year she had raising newborns and a two year old!

The boys were in heaven with all the yummy treats at the Schweigert 's party. They had a cotton candy machine, a popcorn machine and a hot dog machine, among many other things.
Tanner is playing Bozo's Grand Prize Game. He got all the balls in the buckets, thanks to dad's help!

Cute pictures of the week!

I made Brenton a cake on his first "real" day of school. Brenton asked us to put candles on it and wanted us to sing him a song he made up for the special event. "You're going to kindergarten now, You're going to kindergarten now, You're going to kindergarten now, Hey!"
Everytime Brinlee is quiet and not in our sight this is usually what is going on. She loves to get into the diaper cream. You'd think I'd learn and put it out of reach!
Aren't they just the cutest kids you have ever seen! Brinlee had already learned how to be the "diva"!
Tanner taking a drive with Barney at Nathan's 5th and Kaila's 2nd Birthday party.
The boys were playing "camp out" here. They played this game about 45 minutes without any fighting! Wow!

Brenton's First Day of Kindergarten!!

Here he is, our big kindergartener! Isn't he just the cutest thing! For some reason, most of the pictures I took this morning were blurry, these are too, but they were the best I had. He was so excited last night and kept asking if it was night yet so he could go to bed. He only went to school for an hour this morning and Jim and I were able to go along. The class made a star graph, did a craft and listened to a story. Then the aide took the kids outside for a snack so the parents could ask the teacher questions. I was happy to see some familiar faces. A family that used to go to our church has a little boy, Caleb, in Brenton's class. They hit it off right away. I also recognized another mom as someone I went to high school with. Her little boy, Tristin, is in Brenton's class as well. What a small world!! The school is very comfortable and has a family feel to it. I think we are really going to like it. I was asked to join a Moms in Touch group that meets on Fridays to pray for the school. How great is that!? Brenton goes again on Friday for a half day. I think on that day, it will seem more real. We might have some tears that day! Of course, they will be mine, not Brenton's! His schedule is all day Monday and Wednesday and Friday mornings. It is going to be so strange to have him gone from 8:30-3:30. I know I will miss him and I bet Tanner and Brynlee will as well. Although, the house will be much quieter!
