JAM summer party....

Our church has a children's program, called JAM (Jesus and Me). We have a big set, called the JAM Clubhouse, and each service the kids sing worship songs, watch a skit, listen to the Good Book Look (their version of a sermon), etc. Jim and I both volunteer, but Jim is one of the leaders. The children's pastor, Chris, wanted to get all the leaders and "characters" together to discuss the new fall program. One of the characters, "Vinny" and his family hosted the party at their home. They have a big, beautiful pool and this great pool house, equipped with a snack bar, changing room, bathroom, shower and a dryer for wet suits and towels. We all had a great time and the kids were in heaven. It was so much fun to see the kids swimming around like little fish. It really made me want a pool! Tanner jumping off the diving board. Can you believe it!? It was higher than your average diving board, too!

Splish Splash

Aunt Becky and Uncle John's church had a water fun day today called Splish Splash. The kids had fun, but I think they thought the cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones were better than the water games! Brinlee and her cotton candy.

I know I have put nothing but beach pictures on the blog, but it seems that we are going to the beach a lot lately! Thursday, we went to Holland State Park and on Friday, we went to the Sessions Lake in Ionia. After being at Lake Michigan so much lately, it took a while for the kids to get used to a little lake, but they ended up having a lot of fun. Tanner and Brenton stopped long enough for this cute shot.

4th of July..

We went to Aunt Becky and Uncle John's for their annual 4th of July Picnic. We went to the playground to do fireworks, but it was too windy to do much. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the water. Unfortunately, my new camera ended up in the kiddie pool somehow! My dad is trying to fix it and thankfully is lending me his camera for the time being, which is just like mine. Thanks dad, you're the best!!!


 

 

Brinlee's Birthday at Holland Beach!

We had so much fun at the beach camping, we decided to spend Brinlee's birthday at Tunnel Park in Holland. We had a picnic lunch, then spent a couple hours at the beach. After a walk out on the pier at Holland State Park, we finished the day off at Dairy Queen for dinner and ice cream. A perfect summer day!!! Our pretty little birthday girl!

Happy Birthday Brinlee!

We went camping in Grand Haven last week and celebrated Brinlee's birthday a little early. Her actual birthday is today, July 2nd. We had the party right at the campsite. The weather was a little chilly and rainy on the party day, but it ended up warming up later. I can't believe our baby is 2!! Brinlee's cake!
